Book one

Dreamwalker

A contemporary YA paranormal fantasy.

Jack Dillon can step into anyone's dreams, but one mistake lands his father in a very real hospital.

Every night, seventeen-year-old Jack falls asleep and wakes in the space between dreams — a colorless void where every sleeping mind drifts like a tiny galaxy of light. Touch one and he's inside it. Bend the dream, and real life bends with it.

So Jack swears off other people's dreams — hard to do when he's stranded among them every single night. Then he finds hers. One nudge inside her sleeping mind, and the girl who has never noticed him suddenly does. The life he's always wanted could be only one more dream away. But something in the dark has been watching — a grinning shadow that adopts Jack's face but with a smile that shows too many teeth. It thinks Jack is wasting their shared power.

Every dream Jack bends feeds the shadow. Before long, it's walking into the dreams of people he loves — and it doesn't stop at nudges. Ending it means facing what he's done, starting with Quinn: the oldest friend who liked the real Jack back before he ever bent a dream.

Every lie stacks another debt of guilt — and the Nightmare is a very patient creditor.

Perfect for fans of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and The Raven Boys. Dreamwalker is a contemporary YA paranormal fantasy with dream magic, a monster wearing the hero's face, slow-burn friends-to-lovers romance, and consequences that follow you out of sleep. A clean read for teens and up.

About the author

I barely dream — two or three times a year, vivid and strange. Somehow that made me the right person to write about a kid who can enter other people's dreams.

I also build software and think deeply about AI.
